Privacy Policy

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for VirZOOM websites (including vizoom.com, my.virzoom.com, vzfit.com, and virzoom.atlassian.net) and applications (including VirZOOM Arcade and VZfit). It will notify you of the following:

  • What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website and games, how it is used, and with whom it may be shared.
  • What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
  • The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.>
  • How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on virzoom.com and VZfit.

On virzoom.com, we only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order or to respond to a support request.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Additionally, we record usage data while you play games in VZfit while logged into a VirZOOM account (registered at vzfit.com/account) and connected to the internet. This data includes but is not limited to heart rate, time and distance cycled, tension control settings, games played, and scores. This data is used as part of VirZOOM services such as leaderboards and fitness reporting on vzfit.com. Scores, distance, and duration associated with VirZOOM account names may be made publicly available through leaderboards, but personal fitness data like heart rate and calories burned are not made publicly available. We will only share such personal fitness data with third parties in aggregate or anonymized. We will not sell or rent individually identifiable information from recorded telemetry to anyone.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address given on our website:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

You may also update your contact information at any time at vzfit.com/account.

You may opt out of recording and providing usage telemetry data by disconnecting your PC or PlayStation 4 from the internet and playing VZfit in offline mode.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment. We store no credit card or sensitive purchase data in our own systems.

Orders

We request information from you on our order form. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we’ll use this information to contact you.

Registration

In order to use VirZOOM, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). This information is used to identify your account on our server so that you can continue to use our services on any number of different VirZOOM bikes. We may also use this email address to contact you about new features and updates for VirZOOM.

At your option, you may also provide demographic or physical information about yourself (such as gender and weight). This information is not required to use VirZOOM, but certain features (such as estimating calories burned) will only function properly if this information is given. Additional demographic data may be used for internal research purposes, but will not be shared outside VirZOOM except in aggregate, without personally identifying information connected to specific users.

Sharing

To provide some specific services, such as shipping orders, processing credit card information for purchases made through our website, tracking technical support requests, and adding users to our email list, we use services provided by additional parties. When the user places an order or submits an email address, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services. Our third party associates that handle credit card data do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes beyond filling your order.

Third-Party App Integration

VirZOOM offers the option to share data between our software and additional third-party software, including Strava and Pandora. Using this functionality with VirZOOM is entirely optional. Usernames and passwords for other applications are used solely to access their functionality or export your performance data from within VirZOOM; we do not share your data from other services with any other parties besides the owners of those services.
